You can relax in life only when you have trust in God. That is the very foundation. Many people think that God is invisible, we cannot see Him, so we cannot trust Him. Who takes care of the baby when it is a foetus in the mother’s womb? Does the mother even know what is happening inside her and how the baby is growing? Suddenly one day you realize that you are pregnant — it is discovered! The baby grows in spite of you. See the greatest miracle, when the baby is born, there is milk in the mother’s breast. How does it come just when needed? The baby has no teeth, because they are not needed. They come out slowly one by one, when required. There is a beautiful pattern in it.

Who determines all this? Do you still feel that God is invisible? Can you not feel His Presence? God knows our needs before we feel the need. He provides before we can ask. Just observe the details in your life and you will know that He is taking care. The Giver is one alone. The hands through which He gives may be many. We may not know through which hands He will give tomorrow; but one thing is sure, He alone is the giver. So trust God in the first place.

Secondly, trust the child also. Trust his intelligence and abilities as they are given by God. Even if he commits a mistake, do not get annoyed. Give him the opportunity to commit mistakes and become strong. You also have to learn — to let him or her be. Learn to have trust in society, in the people around you. Parents often feel that if they are not there, no one will look after the child. The fact is that you cannot, constantly, be there with your near and dear ones. Whoever is around at that time will help. During times of riots and wars, you hear of acts of charity and help from the most unexpected quarters. Have some faith in society, some trust in the people and the community around you. They are visible! Teachers, relatives, friends and other well-wishers are there. Even unknown people help. Have faith in the goodness of people.
