Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) : Awakening Young Minds

While aged 12 to 14 are called Junior CHYK, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK), is the global youth wing of Chinmaya Mission, catering to youth aged 14 to 28.

Founded in 1975, CHYK emerged during a Geeta Gnana Yagna, bringing together sixty young seekers eager to study Vedanta under Swami Chinmayananda’s guidance. Insisting on knowledge through application, gurudev called it ‘Spirituality in Action’ or ‘Dynamic Spirituality’.

For 50 years, CHYK has been organizing diverse social and spiritual programs to empower young individuals with a holistic vision and strong values to help them realize their potential and succeed in all areas of life.

    Inspired by Swami Chinmayananda’s vision, its first play, Kamban Ramayana, featuring S. Balasubramaniam, received widespread acclaim. Since then, CHYK has staged 15+ plays with 300+ global performances, creatively sharing the Masters' wisdom.
